CVE is kicking off football and fall sports with a fun spirit week this week. Today was "Coach It Up" day, and the students and staff dressed up like Coach Bartos and Coach Rhule. Looking good, everyone. Roll Cougs, and Go Big Red!
At 2:30pm this afternoon, CV Jr./Sr. High School conducted a drill to test all campus fire alarms. Local dispatch was notified of the drill.

The 3rd-6th grade students attended Nebraska's largest classroom on Friday at The Nebraska State Fair. Was a great experience for all of them!

Three students earned Principal for a Day honors at the elementary school today due to their second semester perfect attendance last school year. Principal Brody, Principal Blaikely, and Principal Morgan all got to help Mr. Carlson do announcements, check on classrooms, and give out Cougar Points. Great job being at school every day, kids. Attendance matters!
Parents/guardians, Rooms is accessed through the Central Valley Public Schools app. You will need to download the app to your device. Once downloaded, you will open the app, and you will see an option for School App / Rooms at the bottom right corner of your screen. CV teachers and staff members use Thrillshare to access Rooms, message, post announcements, give out behavior points, and more, but you as parents/guardians will always access through the CVPS app. Remember to double-check your notifications as well. There will be a One-Act meeting for 7-12 students & their parents tomorrow, August 20 at 6:30pm at the high school. Please attend if your student is or plans to participate this year. We are excited about our upcoming show, Mean Girls! The meeting will be followed by a read-through for cast members.
