CV FFA visited with the 2nd graders today as a part of our ag literary project! We enjoyed a snack, discussed how our food is grown and the path it takes to our plate. Thank you to the Farm Bureau for sponsoring this project!

The Kindergarten through 6th grades students at Central Valley Elementary participated in a VFW Coloring contest along with 308 participants from other schools. Charlie Ryan won in the K-3rd grade category and Craytyn Wagner won in the 4-6th grade category. These pictures that they colored will be submitted to the state and will compete against other state entries.

There will be no school for CVPS next Wednesday, November 24th thru Friday, November 26th, for Thanksgiving break.
3rd-6th grade girls first basketball practice/sign-up will be Tues 11/16 at CV High School (Greeley) from 6-7:15 pm. There will be a short parents meeting at 5:45 pm.

CV FFA had another exciting day! Wildlife & Natural Resouces students spent the morning helping Jeanine Killinger gather pheasants and remove blinders. Then we had District Livestock judging with 375 other FFA members. In the Junior Division Chism Goodrich was 14th, Morgan Johnson 25th and Cordel Wagner 30th. As a team they ended up 6th! Way to go CV FFA!

We are having a blast at National FFA Convention!! Carly Johnson, Larista Barner and Demi Daniels earned silver awards and Lexi Scahffert earned a bronze as individuals. The team brought home a National Bronze Award in the Vet Science Career Development Event! We've toured Churchill Downs, Louisville Slugger and Hillcrest Farms. We also spent time exploring the career fair and expo. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way, we can't thank you enough for this opportunity!

CV Lady Cougars will host the D1-10 Sub-district as the top seed. CV will play Twin Loup at 5:30 pm Monday with Pleasanton vs Ravenna to follow at 7. The winners will play Tuesday at 7 pm.
