The bus will leave from Greeley at 8AM and leave at 8:20 from Scotia.
The kindergarten students had a lot of fun at the Kearney Children's Museum last Friday. They were able to explore a wide variety of hands-on learning interests that included an art studio, science center, train depot, grocery store, bank, fire station, and agriculture area.
The Central Valley Awards Night will be held Friday, May 3 starting at 7:00pm. Instead of having a meal this year, we will be provding a dessert bar and drinks!!
CVPS students from Wolbach will be transported to the Wolbach school. Our route busses from Wolbach will not be running. Parents will have to pick those students up at the Wolbach school. Any questions call 308-223-0114.
Weather protocol is lifted. All students and staff are safe. Dismissal is usual time, parents can contact school by calling 308-223-0114 or308-750-5363.
Great work CVE's April Cougar Community Recognition winners! Our Star Student winners did an awesome job of working on RESPONSIBILITY all month long. Special thank you to Mrs. Jeni Leth, Mrs. Michelle Linke, and Ms. Gabby Martinez for their commitment and dedication to making Cougar Nation the very best. And congrats to Mrs. Julia Wood's 1st grade class for being our April Golden Spoon Award winner. Her class displayed excellent responsibility, manners, respect, and positivity in the lunch line, kitchen, and cafeteria the entire month. Keep shinning bright, Cougar Nation!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
This is just a reminder that the elementary spring concert will be this Tuesday April 30th at 7 p.m. at the elementary gym in Scotia. The theme of our concert is “ALL THINGS SUMMER!” while we also celebrate the ending of another great school year! Concert attire is easy peasy summer breezy clothes…the more colorful and fun, the better! For example, t-shirts, Hawaiian shirts (extra cool!), shorts, sunglasses, flip flops or crocs. If the weather doesn’t provide us the warm weather we are hoping for, feel free to have your students wear layers until they get into the building. If it isn’t warm enough outside for summer clothes, inside should be! We can always “pretend” it is summer once they are inside! There are also some special requests the students as follows:
The Kindergarten and 1st graders need to bring a rinsed out empty pop can and a small plastic or paper bowl that they can easily carry with them. I am sure you are all wondering about this request, but it will make sense to you when you come to our concert! ;-)
The 2nd and 3rd graders need to make sure to wear shoes that slip off easily so they can get barefoot fast. (We will explain that later! HA!)
The 4th graders need to remember to bring their recorders and their music from home if they have been practicing. (Hopefully they have been!)
The 5th and 6th graders need to bring a fishing pole. Please only bring the pole itself and no hooks, bait and fishing wire. We are going for an “illusion” as opposed to the real thing. We also don’t want anyone to get hurt or “hooked!” Also, I know we aren’t near the beach, but if anyone would happen to have a “legit” surfboard, we would love to put it in our show!! Thank you in advance to anyone who can help with this!!
Students need to check in with their teachers at 6:30 p.m. Band students need to get their instruments immediately after checking in with their teacher. The concert will begin at 7 p.m.
We would also like to remind everyone of proper concert etiquette. The students have worked very hard to prepare this concert to their parents and the community. To ensure they receive the attention and respect they deserve during their performance, we kindly as the following:
Please do not talk or make noise during the performance
Silence cell phones and step out of the performance area if you must take a phone call
If possible, only leave to go to the restroom during applause or grade level transitions
If you have an extremely unhappy little one, please take them out and then bring them back in when they are happy again.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! We look forward to seeing you at the concert!!
Ms. Baker and Mrs. Sipes

Happy National Administrative Professionals' Day! Thank you so much to Mrs. Korie Beaty, Mrs. Kathy Donovan, Mrs. Shelly Houtby, and Mrs. Julie Stepp for everything you do to support Central Valley Public Schools. You all play a crucial role in keeping our schools running smoothly. You handle such a wide range of tasks, from managing calendars and schedules, to organizing paperwork, events, projects, and orders. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask are always so appreciated and do not go unnoticed.
Happy School Bus Driver Appreciation Day! Thank you to all of our Central Valley bus/van drivers for your commitment to our students' safety. Rain or shine, you are there, ensuring that students are picked up and arrive at their destinations without a worry. Your professionalism and attentiveness behind the wheel gives all of us peace of mind. Keep up the great work!
