The elementary students hit their quarter one 40,000 point Dojo goal today, which meant Mr. Jordan Beck had to live up to his promise to the students and let Mr. Carlson shave his head. He was a great sport about it, and the kids enjoyed every second of it. Keep earning those Dojo points, Cougar Nation! And keep being safe, respectful, and responsible!

CV Volleyball will host the D2-5 Subdistrict on Monday and Tuesday! Cougars will play the winner of Elba and St. Edward at 7:30 pm Monday! Come out and pack the gym to cheer on the Cougars!
Choir students in grades 7-12 and anyone who has sung in past musicals at those levels are invited to sing the Star Spangled Banner as a group tonight before the game. We will rehearse at the field at 6 pm. If you aren't at the rehearsal, that is ok. You may still sing with us!! The game starts at 7 pm. Let's start out the evening with a great anthem for our football guys tonight!! GO COUGARS!!

CVE Celebrated National School Lunch Week this week, and bit into the "rainbow" of fresh fruits and vegetables! The National School Lunch Program serves nearly 30 million children every school day. President John F. Kennedy created National School Lunch Week in 1962 to promote the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life, and the impact it has inside and outside of the classroom. Way to stay health, kids!

It was pancakes with the principal today at CVE. So proud of our August/September Cougar Community Recognition staff and Star Student winners. As always, thank you so much to the Central Valley PTO for providing the goodies, to Mrs. Julia Wood and Mrs. Mandy McClure for setting everything up, and to Mr. Tom for flipping up the pancakes. Goldenrod Conference Volleyball Tournament October 12th and 14th! The Cougars are the top seed and will play at home on Thursday at 7:30 pm. All games on October 14th will be played at St. Ed.
Central Valley Senior High Choir students take a break from singing Jazz for a photo. They will perform this Sunday for the Glenn Miller pre-show at the Golden Husk Theater in Ord.
This coming Sunday, several Central Valley Students will be performing at the Golden Husk Theater in Ord for the Glen Miller pre-show. The pre-show begins at 3:45 p.m. with the North Platte Band performing first and our Central Valley students singing after the band. The Glen Miller Orchestra will take the stage after the pre-show.
Students are reminded to wear all black for the performance. Ms. Baker will pick up Middle School and High School students who need a ride (Pick up times are Greeley at 12:45 p.m., Wolbach at 1:10 p.m., Scotia at 1:30 p.m.) Elementary students will need to come with their parents. Warm up and rehearsal for the Central Valley students will be at 2 p.m. prior to the show. Please contact Ms. Baker if you have questions or concerns.
The Central Valley Youth Sports Assoc. is beginning to plan for basketball season. Please complete this registration form if your child(ren) is interested in playing this year.
