Great work, CVE's August/September Cougar Community Recognition winners! Our Star Student winners did an awesome job of working on APPRECIATION for the last month and a half. Special thank you to Mrs. Whitney Beck, Mrs. Holly Perrott, Mr. Nolan Kratzer, Mr. Shane Ryan, and Ms. Devyn Erickson for their commitment and dedication to making Cougar Nation the very best! And congrats to Mrs. Leth's 4th grade class for being our September Golden Spoon Award winner. Her class displayed excellent responsibility, manners, respect, and positivity in the lunch line, kitchen, and cafeteria the entire month. Keep shinning bright, Cougar Nation!
The Glenn Miller Orchestra concert is this Sunday October 8th at the Golden Husk in Ord. Students performing for the pre-show need to arrive at the theater at 3:30 pm and wear all black. Contact Ms. Baker if you have questions. It's going to be a fantastic afternoon of music!
Happy High Five Friday! Mrs. Shoemaker brought the NHS students over to the elementary school this morning to welcome the students into the building with high fives and music. The CVE teachers and staff joined in the fun as well. Great idea, Mrs. Shoemaker, and thank you, NHS students! This might just have to be our new monthly tradition!
Softball District Schedules have been released! CCV Diamonds are the #4 Seed and will play Hastings St. Cecilia at 12 pm on Monday Oct 2nd at the Hastings Softball Complex! Good luck Diamonds!

It was Grandparent's Day at the elementary school today, and WOW what a crowd! Our wonderful grandparents were able to eat breakfast, play numerous board games, and enjoy the book fair with their grandchildren for several hours this morning. Thank you so much to all of the grandparents who attended! The students loved spending time with you, and we really appreciate the support raising Scholastic dollars for our Central Valley libraries!

Parents/Guardians, our Scholastic Book Fair will be at Central Valley Elementary all of next week. Please look for these flyers in backpacks and take-home folders as they should be coming home soon. Book Fair hours will be 7:30am-8:00am, and 3:30pm-4:00pm Monday-Friday. The Book Fair will also be open from 11:30am-6:30pm during our parent/teacher conferences on Tuesday, September 26th. Junior High Volleyball and Football, and Junior Varsity Volleyball will play in Elgin as originally scheduled. JH Volleyball @ 4:30 w/ JV to follow. Volleyball games will be played at Elgin Pope John.
Junior High Football will play at 5:00 pm at Elgin High School.
Junior Varsity Football will play at 6:00 pm vs Clarkson-Leigh. Game will be played in Leigh.
The Homecoming Pep Rally will be at 1:30 pm tomorrow in front of the Wolbach Community Center followed by the Parade at 2:00 pm.
The Wolbach Fire & Rescue will a Steak Feed Friday at the Community Center. They will be serving from 4:00pm-7:00pm or while supplies last.
