Central Valley Public Schools will not have school tomorrow, January 8, 2024, due to weather.
It was Pancakes with the Principal and Principal For a Day Friday at CVE. So proud of our December Cougar Community Recognition staff and Star Student winners, as well as our semester one perfect attendance students. As always, thank you so much to the Central Valley PTO for providing the goodies, to Mrs. Julia Wood and Mrs. Mandy McClure for setting everything up, and to Mr. Tom for flipping up the pancakes. The elementary students earned over 40,000 Dojo points for the second straight quarter and got to SLIME Mr. Carlson today. Way to go, Cougar Nation! Keep earning those Dojo points by being safe, respectful, and responsible!
CV Youth Wrestling for PreK-Kindergarten will start January 8th at 6:00 pm at the weight room in Greeley. On January 9th grades 1-4 will be at 6:00 pm and grades 5-8 will follow at 7:00 pm.

Due to the waxing of the floors at the elementary school, the Scotia site will be off limits until Sunday, December 31.
CV Boys Basketball will play tomorrow at 2:30 pm and CV Girls Basketball will play at 4:30 pm. All games tomorrow are at Burwell.
Thank you Central Valley PTO for purchasing Christmas gifts for the elementary school homeroom classes. The gifts included math games, indoor recess activities, board games, and comfy reading chairs. The students were very happy!
Congratulations to Morgan Kolar, Watson Wood, Ellie Borwege, Blaikely Nekoliczak, and Lauryn Rosander as they achieved semester one perfect attendance. These students were at school and on time every single day. They now have earned "Principal for a Day" honors, and will be spending time working with Mr. Carlson on Friday, January 5th. Way to go, kids!

Great work, CVE's December Cougar Community Recognition winners! Our Star Student winners did an awesome job of working on GENEROSITY all month long. Special thank you to Mrs. Dawn Bransfield and Mrs. Krista Sipes for their commitment and dedication to making Cougar Nation the very best. And congrats to Mrs. Perrott's kindergarten class for being our December Golden Spoon Award winner. Her class displayed excellent responsibility, manners, respect, and positivity in the lunch line, kitchen, and cafeteria the entire month. Keep shinning bright, Cougar Nation. Merry Christmas to all!

The 4th grade students got to do some fun Christmas caroling today with the Greeley Assisted Living residents. They had a great time, and the residents had fun singing along!
Tune in to Channel 10-11 at 9:00 AM on Monday to see some of Central Valley's students as they meet with other area schools for a bowling outing and lunch! It was a day of friendships, food and fun!
